iCarly’s Jerry Trainor, who plays Spencer, has also landed a new Nick series, but will play a different character.

Victorious’ Cat Valentine (Ariana Grande) will co-star with Jennette on the spin-off series.

Here’s the rundown from a press release from Viacom:

Sam & Cat (Nickelodeon pilot/working title) — In the comedic spin-off Sam & Cat, from iCarly and Victorious creator Dan Schneider, feisty Sam Puckett (Jennette McCurdy) and daffy Cat Valentine (Ariana Grande) become best buddies and unlikely roommates. They love their freedom and independence, but quickly realize that fun and adventure do not come cheap. Rather than get traditional after-school jobs, Sam and Cat become teen entrepreneurs by starting their own babysitting business.

Wendell and Vinnie (Nick at Nite series) — iCarly’s Jerry Trainor stars as Vinnie, a lovable, goofball uncle who becomes the guardian to his buttoned-up 12-year-old nephew Wendell (Buddy Handleson, Shake It Up). Nicole Sullivan (The King of Queens, The Penguins of Madagascar) also stars as Vinnie’s high-strung older sister Wilma.

The Bridgit Mendler “Ready or Not” music video premieres August 10.

The end of iCarly is almost here (sniffle), but it’s fun to catch up with the stars and find out their favorite iCarly moments.

Miranda Cosgrove and the cast of iCarly just celebrated taping their 100th episode, and with the finale creeping up (November!), Cosgrove spoke with MTV about some of her favorite episodes.

She tells MTV News, “We just hit our 100th episode – it was really exciting that we got to do that before the end,” adding, “I’ve got a ton of messages from Twitter and Facebook and everything, and it’s awesome.”

Miranda also shared, “I mean, a lot of people have been watching since they were our age when we started, so they grew up watching it. So I think it’s really sweet.”

As for her favorite iCarly episodes, Miranda says she liked the first Halloween episode, calling it “really fun” (iScream on Halloween), sharing, “I was like 13, and I got to wear this crazy bug costume and that was just a fun one. [It was] like when we first started [when we made it] and we were all just really excited and the show had just come out. So I really like that one.”

She’s also fond of “iSaved Your Life” when Freddie saves Carly. Aw.
